JRSOs

Meet our Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSO): Penny, Poppy, Nichalo and Samuel.

They lead initiatives across the school to ensure that our whole school community is safe on the roads, whether they are walking, cycling, driving or even scooting, together with carrying out surveys of traffic on the school site!

We have lead whole school assemblies where we taught the school about the Green Cross Code. We encouraged children to think about why it is important to cross the road safely, and the consequences of not following the Green Cross Code. 

We also organised a 'Be Bright, Be Seen' Day. All the children and teachers dressed up in bright clothing to remind us of why it is so important to wear bright clothing when walking, crossing a road and riding a bike near a road. As part of this day, children were invited to make posters which were entered into a county competition!
